These Dzogchen teachings by His Holiness Dudjom Rinpoche encapsulate the essential instructions and advice for daily practice on all of the Buddha’s teachings in general, and the three Inner Tantras in particular. These sacred lineage instructions usher us to discover the enlightened nature of Kuntuzangpo, the all-perfect present.

His Holiness Dudjom Rinpoche Jigdral Yeshe Dorje was born in the early 20th century, and was a renowned body emanation of Drokben Khyechung Lotsawa, speech emanation of Yeshe Tsogyal, and mind emanation of Guru Padmasambhava. In particular, Khyechung Lotsawa emanated as many great tertons and scholar-masters throughout the centuries in Tibet. Guru Padmasambhava predicted the coming of His Holiness Dudjom Rinpoche, including his exact birthplace, family, and personality.
H.H. Dudjom Rinpoche became one of the great masters of Tibetan Buddhism, as well as the supreme head of the Nyingma school of Tibetan Buddhism. He worked closely with H.H. the Dalai Lama to reactivate Tibetan culture and religion. Yet at the same time, Dudjom Rinpoche was very humble and simple. He was the spiritual father to numerous distinguished practitioners, many of whom later became great lineage holders. He was very available to all devotees, and at their request, gave numerous pith instructions of nugget Dzogchen teachings that open the heart and mind. Through his teachings, we discover the original, innate nature of mind so we can live in the world happily and leave with tremendous confidence and signs of realization.

We are overjoyed to announce that Ven. Khenpo Tsewang Dongyal Rinpoche will continue his teachings on His Holiness Dudjom Rinpoche’s Heart Advice for the Fortunate Ones. As many of you know, Rinpoche kindly gave in-depth commentary on these heart instructions this past spring and early summer.
On these two days Rinpoche will summarize and conclude these precious teachings from His Holiness Dudjom Rinpoche. In addition, November 7 marks one of the four special Buddhist festivals that relate to the life of Buddha Shakyamuni. Lha Bab Duchen commemorates Buddha Shakyamuni’s return to the human world after teaching his Mother in the god realms, where he spent three months imparting teachings and repaying her kindness.
