We’re now in the process of finalizing permits and beginning construction of the main meditation temple. The horse barns are being converted into a temple, meditation sanctuary, and fellowship hall, and the land will be preserved as a park-like setting for contemplative walks, meditation, or simply sitting in quiet reflection.
Palden Sherab Pema Ling is located on ten-acres of land that includes a pond, numerous trees, fields, and wetlands that are enjoyed by abundant local wildlife.
The Palm Beach Dharma Center—a local branch of the Padmasambhava Buddhist Center—is looking for funding to create this beautiful sanctuary. It will be a place for spiritual rejuvenation to promote natural beauty where outer peace and harmony, foster inner healing and tranquility. Its namesake is Ven. Khenchen Palden Sherab Rinpoche, one of the great Tibetan Buddhist masters and scholars of the 20th century. He and his brother, Ven. Khenpo Tsewang Dongyal Rinpoche, long dreamed of creating a Buddhist retreat center in South Florida.
With the help of your kindness and generosity, this dream could now become a reality.

Today on Lha Bab Duchen at PBC Orgyen Samye Chokhor Ling Nunnery in Sarnath, India, H.E. Terton Namkha Drimed Rinpoche and Ven. Khenpo Tsewang Dongyal Rinpoche officially enthroned Palden Yonten Thaye Lodro Chokyi Gyaltsen as the reincarnation of our precious teacher, the great scholar and master Venerable Khenchen Palden Sherab Rinpoche.
Lha Bab Duchen is the anniversary of Buddha Shakyamuni’s descent from the gods realm to again turn the Wheel of Dharma in our world. At the age of 41, the Buddha ascended the god realm to give teachings to benefit the gods in that desire realm, and to repay the incredible kindness of his mother by liberating her from samsara. Afterwards, the Buddha was urgently requested by his disciple Maudgalyayana and the noble Sangha to return to earth, which he did a week later by a special triple ladder. This event is considered to be one of the twelve great deeds of the Buddha.\
On Lha Bab Duchen, the effects of positive or negative actions are multiplied by approximately ten million times, so meditation practice, Dharma study, and virtuous deeds are highly encouraged!
We all pray for the very long and healthy life of Palden Yonten Thaye Lodro Chokyi Gyaltsen, the perfect completion of all his Dharma studies and training, and the swift fulfillment of all his Dharma aspirations and activities!
