The Prayer of Kuntuzangpo is a Nyingma Dzogchen teaching from the Great Master and Terton, Rigzin Gomdenchen, born in 1337. Rigzin Gomdenchen was from Tsang, Tibet, northeast of the 12,950 ft tall Mt. Trazang, one of the most sacred sites of Tibet. This prayer is beneficial at solstices, solar and lunar eclipses, times of earthquakes, special lunar days, and the changing of the year. It reminds us as practitioners to be mindful of avoiding separation from others and from things because of the creation in our minds of duality. The great expansion of clarity that comes from this practice helps us maintain a realization of nirvana, and creates a peacefulness in us when things get messy in samsara.
Umdze Chant Leader: Janet McIntyre took refuge with Ven. Khenchen Palden Sherab Rinpoche and Ven. Khenpo Tsewang Dongyal Rinpoche in 1993. A dedicated practitioner, she completed her Ngondro accumulations and continues with her practice of the Dark Red Amulet. She often assisted at retreats by cooking yummy meals and is a retired nurse, grandmother, and great grandmother.
We hope you can join us for this opportunity to meditate and practice together!
People of all levels of interest and meditation are warmly welcome!
