Fun and inspiring.

These two words describe last summer's retreat to a "T' (or should we as Buddhists say, "B"). Last June many new as well as longer term students from around the nation met at our retreat temple, Padma Gochen Ling, near Monterey TN. Besides the Khenpos' profound teachings on death and dying, the participants enjoyed pujas (prayer ceremonies) as well as private interviews with the Khenpos, dining, and "hanging out."

Below are some images from the festivities. A link to more pictures appears at the bottom.

The Sunday crowd in front of the temple. Hmmm... which ones could possibly be
the lamas?

A typically friendly and engaging
interview with our teachers.

The Summer 2001 Refuge Class inside the temple. On the last day of the retreat these people formally set foot on the Buddhist path in a beautiful and humbling ceremony conducted by the Khenpos.

Fire puja, an outside ceremony.
Where there's smoke, there's fire
puja!

View from the front porch of the temple.

Life was indeed a breeze that day.
